Can I add funds to my CD at any time?
Additional deposits of $5,000 or more may be made during the first 12 months of the initial term. The total balance, including the account opening deposit, may not exceed $3,000,000. Additional deposits can be made at any Blue Hills Bank branch.

Are there any fees to open or maintain a certificate of deposit?
There are no fees for opening or maintaining a certificate of deposit account at Blue Hills Bank.

What's the minimum opening deposit for a CD?
You can open a 29 Month Flexible CD with as little as $500 and as much as $3,000,000.

What types of CDs do you offer?
In addition to the 29 Month Flexible CD, we offer traditional CDs in a variety of terms with competitive rates ranging from 91 days to 60 months.

How do I withdraw funds from my CD at maturity?
This account will automatically renew at maturity. You may prevent renewal if you withdraw the funds in the account at maturity (or within the 10 day grace period) or we receive written notice from you within the 10 day grace period. The grace period is defined as 10 calendar days after maturity.

What is the penalty for an early withdrawal from my CD?
If you decide to make a withdrawal from your CD, the fee we may impose will equal six months interest on the amount withdrawn subject to penalty.

In certain circumstances such as the death or incompetence of an owner of this account, the law permits, or in some cases requires, the waiver of the early withdrawal penalty. Other exceptions may also apply.
